Jean Beverly Hunter

Mrs. Jean Beverly Hunter, age 85, of Centreville, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at her home of 57 years in Centreville, Virginia. Born December 24, 1938 in Concord, New Hampshire, Jean was the daughter of the late Sherman D and Flora M Stickney, and the youngest of 6 children. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed traveling to many places with her husband over the years, and had many hobbies including ceramics, cake decorating, and crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five older brothers, Sherman E Stickney, Lawrence H Stickney, Donald E Stickney, Paul H Stickney and Kenneth R Stickney.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 67 years, Robert E Hunter. One son, Kenneth R Hunter (Mary) of Stephens City, VA. Two daughters, Susan J Stevenson (Hugh) of Centreville, VA and Stacy L Hunter (Lance) of Centreville, VA. Two grandsons, Nicholas D Price (Jacquelyn) of Ashburn, VA and Michael R Price of Centreville, VA and one great granddaughter Luna R Price of Ashburn, VA.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road in Fairfax at 12:00 PM followed by a reception from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
