Jean Marie Russo
February 14, 1951 – April 25, 2019

Jean Marie Russo, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the 25th of April, 2019 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, after a valiant battle against cancer. Born on Valentine’s Day 1951, Jean attended St. Ann’s School and then Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
A great cook as well as a talented artist, during the 1980’s Jean’s work was showcased at a DuPont Circle art gallery in Washington, D.C.
In the early 1980’s, Jean worked in the U.S. Department of Labor’s office of legislative affairs, and she then served in The Reagan White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel. In her later years, Jean worked for the State of New Mexico. Most recently, she was employed by the Architect of the Capitol in Washington. D.C.
Jean is survived by her brother Paul Russo of Flint Hill, Virginia, her sister-in-law Kathie, and her two nieces, Allison Russo Glass and Katherine Russo. A small, private ceremony with immediate family and co-workers was held at Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax, Virginia to honor Jean’s memory, and she was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
