Joan Barbara Meyer

Joan Barbara Meyer, 83, of Fairfax, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014, All Saints’ Day. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Meyer Jr., of Fairfax, VA, children, Bruce Meyer, of Texas, Dr. Wayne Meyer, of Maryland, and Drew Meyer, of Maryland, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and all her many dear family members.

Joan’s Ministry was to love people with God’s love. She carried this out with great passion, even jumping with joy. She warmly welcomed people into her home. She was available to counsel and pray. She faithfully worked at the Lamb Center.

Joan was a journalist, story and joke teller, clown and an ardent prayer warrior.

Family will receive friends Friday, November 7, 2014, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, at Demaine Funeral Home Fairfax (formerly Everly Funeral Home), 10565 Main St. Fairfax, VA 22030. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:30am at Fairfax City Cemetery, 10567 Main St., Fairfax, VA, with the chapel funeral service at 11:30am at Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22030. Friends and family are invited to a reception following the service at Truro Anglican Church.
