Dear Mike, you and your father had a strong bond, and were devoted to each other. I pray that God gives you comfort, and that you may continue to find strength in these difficult times.
I'll cherish all the memories with your father...especially the memory of the last Christmas together. Your dad enjoyed your cooking, and we had a nice conversation about his work in Germany, he also mentioned that he played soccer in his youth, and shared the latest stories of his apartment complex, among others.
I always enjoyed going out for lunch or breakfast with your dad. He was fun to be around with.  We were always early... the first ones to arrive to the restaurant... even before it opened, because that's how he liked it. He loved the 'bang bang shrimp' at the Bonefish, and the 'fish and chips' at the Ford's Fish Shack, and he always made sure that he shared some with me.
Receive lots of peace and love at this time of sorrow. May Tom rest in peace. He will always have a special place in my heart.

I worked with Tom in the Special Unit when he was the Sergeant and he was a born leader.  Tom was one of those people who could lead by example and was well liked by his subordinates as well as his peers.  He could always be counted on to go the extra mile when it was required.  A fine example of a man!!

Tom was a good and kind man.   I feel lucky to have known him.

My Uncle Tom and I have enjoyed frequent calls in the recent years. We shared his experiences in Germany, cases in his detective work, animals born at the zoo, his antique collections, my family - but most of all he talked about Mike; he was so proud of his son. In my younger years I watched him "dressing to go out" - he was so particular. He gave me my first bicycle - it was a boys bike. He and Mike visited my family home frequently (our granny lived with us). I will greatly miss my Uncle Tom but I will always have so many wonderful and happy memories of him. I am sad that he has left us now. However, I know I will see him again in Heaven.

Detective Hudgins did the background on me to become a police officer in ACPD.  He and Detective Solem together.  After their investigation, Detective Hudgins was there everytime I had to come in for an interview, polygraph, final interview, etc.  He was ever so supportive, humorous, and overall I had a wonderful time in what would have been extremely nerve wracking with the pressure.  This little bit of words will never be able to show how grateful I was that he was there.  God Bless you, Sir, and thank you.

Mike, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad.  I will always remember him as my mom’s favorite uncle.  He always had a joke to tell and was always just fun to be around.
