Nancy Evernham Pullen passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November, 29, 2014. Originally from West Allenhurst, New Jersey, she lived in Fairfax, VA with her loving husband of over 60 years, Donald C. Pullen. She was deeply devoted to her 5 children, Kathi Ingram (Tom), Chip (Guylaine), Diana Spindle (Ron), Mike (Sherry), Barbara Jefferson (Brent), 11 grandchildren, Chris (Jenny), Elise (Meg), Cassie (Justin), Jennifer, Stephanie (Charlie), Stephen, Kristie (Josh), Matt, Austin, Chase, Katie and great-granddaughter, Isabella. Also loved by her brother, Earle Evernham (Laura), nieces, nephews, and many grand-pets. Nancy was truly devoted to her family. She made birthdays special, and holidays exceptional. She gave much of her time to supporting her husband, Don, while giving her children homemade Halloween costumes, volunteering at their schools, making numerous friends of her five children feel comfortable at her home, among many other things. She cherished each and every one of her grandchildren, taking time to enjoy their interests and being their biggest cheerleader. She encouraged those she loved, supporting them even when she may not fully agree. Her door was always open for guidance, something to snack on, a listening ear, or a hug. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed painting beautiful landscapes and waterways. Many which are now left for generations to enjoy. Nancy loved to bowl, spending more than 25 years in a league in Fairfax. At other times, she loved evaluating the deals of the QVC shopping network, doing her part to boost the economy through her purchases. Several close friends and family members have passed on previously, most likely awaited her arrival with a celebration fit for such an amazing soul. Please join us in a celebration of her life on January 30, 2015, 5pm-7pm, at the Historic Blenheim and Civil War Interpretative Center at 3610 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA 22030.
