Robert F. (Bob) Groene, 89, passed away on April 3, 2015 at his home in Annandale, Virginia. He was born on April 10, 1925 in Donnellson, Iowa, to John and Catherine Groene. Beloved husband of Alice; Loving father of the late Elizabeth, Michael R. (Ginger), and David F. (Tammy); Cherished grandfather of Victoria, Alexandria, Katherine, and Tyler; Dearest great grandfather of Annabelle Claire; Brother of Virginia Schulte, Cecelia Stotts, Mary Jo Anne Berry, Johnny, Lester, and Delbert; Brother-in-law of Carl C. (Patsy) Roush, Mildred Hutchinson, Frances Roush, and Kay Roush. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. A light lunch will be served following the ceremony.
