Beloved wife of the late Charles M. Ponsart; mother of Charles A. (Michelle) Ponsart, Desiree Ann (Paul) Smith, Dwight (Lisa) Ponsart, Kevin (Victoria Heilig) Ponsart, and Glenn (Jennifer) Ponsart; grandmother of Elizabeth, Charles, Jeremiah, Bailey, Austin, Nikki, Kaci, Amanda, and Tyler; and great-grandmother of Autumn, AJ, Cohen, Kinsley, Madelyn, Leighton, and General. She was preceded in passing by grandson Ashley James Smith.
Shirley, the consummate homemaker, was a longtime resident of the city of Fairfax. Her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was her life’s passion.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Charles at a date to be determined in a private family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Shirley’s memory to a hospice organization of choice.
