Susan Jane Kerwin

Sue passed away on July 28, 2026 after twenty-three years with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in Glen Cove, Long Island NY to William and Josephine McKenna Kenary. She moved to Manhattan where she explored city living and began college studies at City University of New York. Further pursuit of growth and personal development brought her to Los Angeles, CA where she met and married Tim, obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, and gave birth to her children. A move to Philadelphia for Tim’s graduate school brought her back to the east coast, where she lived in Vienna, VA. Her employment career included rewarding positions at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, in medical supplies sales plus several administrative support positions. In Virginia she also became a grandmother to six.

She is survived by a brother John of Oyster Bay, New York, by children Kiara Reilly and husband Conor of Sterling, VA and grandchildren Sean, Brendan, and Caleb. A son Kevin and his wife Allison are living in Chapel Hill, NC with grandchildren Eloise, Ryerson and Sullivan.
