She is survived by her daughter, Robin Pinner, her son, Christopher Smith and her grandchildren Lily and Dylan.
Virginia dedicated her career to nursing and worked more than 40 years as a nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes in the Washington metropolitan area.
Her favorite hobby was reading which brought her great joy. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Northern Virginia Council of Literacy so others can experience the gift of reading.
