Wendy Joy Frances Mace, of Lakeridge Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2020, at the age of 44. She was preceded in death by her loving Mother, Bonnie Jean Marean, and Father, Edward Lloyd Franklin.

Wendy was born on September 20, 1975 in Cheverly Maryland. In 1991, Wendy married her Husband, John Bernard Mace in Great Falls Virginia. Within a year of their marriage, Wendy gave birth to their daughter, Sasha Danielle Mace and then in 1995, gave birth to their son, Andrew George Mace.

Wendy enjoyed her time working throughout her life at Bowl America and Advanced Pediatrics where she felt in both instances, like part of an extended family. Wendy lived life with a care free attitude and smile for everyone. She was beautiful, kind, and always there to listen to anyone who needed an ear. Her determination, strength and toughness were unmatched. Although her illnesses were prevalent throughout her life, Wendy refused to be defined by them and fought until her very last breath.

Wendy is survived by her Husband of 29 years, John Bernard Mace, daughter Sasha Mace and her Husband, Dustin Cleveland; her son Andrew Mace; She is also survived and preceded in death by many dear and devoted family members and friends who meant the world to her.

Wendy’s family will receive limited guests on Wednesday April 8 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. At Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main St. Fairfax, 22030. A chapel service for the immediate family will take place at 12:30 followed by interment in Fairfax City Cemetery. A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held at a later date.
