Wilma Lee Jenkins

Wilma Lee Jenkins, born November 11, 1947, departed this life peacefully on March 30, 2026, at Fairfax Hospital. Wilma was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nelson Roberts & Silence Carnes Roberts; three brothers, Lowell Roberts, Stephen Roberts & Leslie Roberts; two sisters, Claudine Bowman, Ollie Hook, and her beloved husband, Charles E. Jenkins, Sr.

Wilma graduated from Byng High School and from Haskell University. She dedicated many years of service working in the government for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, followed by employment with the National Education Association, where she retired after a committed and meaningful career. Following retirement, Wilma continued working with the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association, reflecting a strong work ethic and a desire to remain active and engaged.

Wilma is survived by her beloved sisters, Louise Gore and Lizzie Hughes (Victor), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Known for a kind spirit and caring heart, Wilma valued time spent with family and friends and touched many lives through generosity, loyalty, and compassion.

Wilma Lee Jenkins will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home - Fairfax, 10565 MAIN ST, FAIRFAX, VA 22030, US, on April 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral at Demaine Funeral Home - Fairfax, 10565 MAIN ST, FAIRFAX, VA 22030, US, on April 4, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with live stream available at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/c26034406675754.
