Born on September 4, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Alan was the son of Gertrude (Belzer) Hsia and the late Tao-Chen Hsia. In the early 1970s, he lived in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, with his parents and siblings before later becoming a longtime resident of South Dartmouth.
Alan graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1979 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Southeastern Massachusetts University, now UMass Dartmouth. He went on to build a steady and dedicated career with Titleist, where he worked for nearly 30 years until his retirement.
Alan is survived by his wife, Ana P. (Rosa) Hsia; his mother, Gertrude Hsia, his brother, Eric Hsia, his sister Sabina Harris, and her husband, David; his niece, Martha, his nephew, Josiah, his stepdaughters, Christine and Stephanie Rodrigues and his grandchildren, Dimitrius Parra, Jayanna Montanez, and Jayla Montanez.
Outside of work, Alan found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. He enjoyed boating and fishing with friends and was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and the New York Yankees. He also had a deep affection for animals and nature, especially the many stray cats he lovingly cared for over the years.
Alan will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
