OBITUARY

Alfred Louis Raulet

August 26, 1941April 25, 2021

Alfred L. Raulet, 79, of Fairhaven passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Janet (Moniz) Raulet.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Louis and Beatrice (Duguay) Raulet he was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven. Mr. Raulet graduated from the New Bedford School District. He worked as a custodian at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School. Al was an avid sportsman and he enjoyed all types of sports. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee with a donut and nothing brought him greater joy than actively being involved with his great grandchildren. He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa DeTerra and her husband Peter, Sr. of Fairhaven and Tabatha Demers of Fairhaven; a sister, Mary Binnett of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren, Kayleigh DeTerra, Chelsea Petrouski, Lindsey Dias, Peter DeTerra, Jr., Brandon Dias, Samantha Demers, and Noah DeTerra; three great grandchildren, Landyn Johnson, Levi Thurber, Carson Dias, and a little one on the way; God Father of Walter Parker, Jr. of Acushnet; and many nieces and nephews. He was the great grandfather of the late, Kaydence Johnson and brother of the late Albert Raulet, Francis Stanhoff, and Loretta Karpinski.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Parish, 74 Spring St., Fairhaven. Private burial will be at a later date. For online tribute: www.waring-sullivan.com.
