Alyssa Paris Furtado, of Salem, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Lahey Clinic North, at eighteen years of age. Daughter of Richard Furtado and Pamela Alexander of Naples, Florida. Paris was most recently living in Salem, Massachusetts.
Born April 30, 1994 in Westminster, London, England; she was educated there and in Florida. She was the sun, the moon and the stars to those who knew and loved her. Her smile lit up a room. A striking young woman, she was equally beautiful on the inside. A lover of animals, she spent her days working with them and learning from them.
She leaves a beloved sister, Asha of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; her parents; loving grandparents, Amy Macomber of Fairhaven and Bob Furtado of Mattapoisett; Nancy and Bob Duerr of Salem; Peter and Amy Harrington of Bridgewater; Bobby and Kim Pike of Lakeville in addition to many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 10-11am followed by a service at 11am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Mattapoisett. In addition, a memorial service will be held in Naples, Florida at a date and time to be announced.
