It is with immense sorrow and enduring love that we announce the passing of Andrew Mark Wheeler, who left this world on December 3rd, 2025, after a series of long illnesses. Andrew touched every life he encountered with kindness, calm strength, humor, and an unshakeable loyalty to the people he loved.
Andrew was a beloved son to his parents, Julie and Geoff Wheeler, and a devoted father to his two children, Ellie and Jackson, whom he adored with his whole heart. He cherished every moment spent with his family — fiancé Liz Sutton, children, parents, and closest friends, especially Paula Rasmussen Pires, his deck boss and “second mom,”— finding his greatest joy in the people he loved most.
A proud commercial fisherman, Andrew spent countless days and nights working the waters he loved. The ocean was both his livelihood and his refuge—its rhythm matching the quiet steadiness of his spirit. Whether casting his lines beneath the first light of dawn or returning home under the glow of a fading sunset, he found peace in the sea’s embrace.
He found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments: fishing in quiet coves, watching sunrises and sunsets, spending time with his loyal dogs, and sharing everyday memories with those closest to him. Andrew lived with deep gratitude for the small things that make a day beautiful and a heart full.
Andrew and Liz were true soul mates. Their matching tattoos, his anchor and her hook, symbolized a deep and unbreakable connection: steady, grounding, and eternal. Though Andrew has left this earthly place, their souls remain forever held together through that enduring love.
A Celebration of Life honoring Andrew will be held on Thursday, December 18th at 10:00 AM at The Century House in Acushnet, Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, laughter, tears, and the gratitude we hold for having been loved by him.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
