Carlos A. Xavier, 60 of Fairhaven passed away, Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Charlton Memorial Hospital after a lengthy hospital stay. He was the son of Lourdes (Medeiros) Xavier and the late Amancio Xavier.
Carlos was born in St. Michael’s, Azores; he immigrated to the United States with his family as a young boy. He was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven; a graduate of Fairhaven High School and was employed as an auto mechanic for Harvey Industry and the former ABC Disposal.
Carlos loved his family dearly, especially his two sons Nicholas and Eric. He loved to sit with friends and family to reminisce about the good old days. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed breeding, raising and training his loyal German Shepard’s. He loved to work, have lunch with friends and family, go jet skiing, boating and fishing. Carlos was an avid Raiders and Bruins fan.
In addition to his mother Lourdes, he is survived by his sons, Eric Xavier and his wife Patricia of UT and Nicholas Xavier of Mattapoisett; his siblings, Natalia Pelletier and her husband Daniel of Lakeville, Fatima Novak and her husband Michael of FL, Steven Xavier and his wife Jennifer of Fairhaven and Susan Xavier-Ouellette and her husband Nelson of New Bedford; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
