Born in New Bedford, the son of Elizabeth “Betty” Durfee and the late Frederick Easton, he was raised in Fairhaven and lived locally for most of his life.
Chris was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School and attended U-Mass Dartmouth, the University of Dijon and the Sorbonne University both in France.
He had worked as a flight attendant for P.B.A., Air France and US Airways for many years.
He was an avid reader and cherished the time spent with his family.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Betty and her husband David Durfee; a brother, Frederick Easton; a sister, Robin Nelson; nephews, Benjamin Easton, Tyler and Travis Nelson; a niece, Arianna Nelson; grandnieces and grandnephews; aunt Constance Brown and many cousins.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Visiting hours Monday 4-7pm. Burial will be in River-Side Cemetery. For online tributes and directions: www.waring-sullivan.com
