Dorothy A. (Alexander) Westgate, 80, of Fairhaven, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Arthur P. Westgate. Born in Fairhaven, a daughter of the late Manuel and Rose Alexander, she was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven. Mrs. Westgate loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Westgate and his wife Donna M. of Fairhaven; a daughter, Joyce A. Macedo and her husband Ruben P. of Fairhaven; sisters, Rosemary Symanski and Maryann Comeau; brothers, Raymond, Robert, Richard and Antone Alexander; grandchildren, Douglas Westgate and the late Jena Lee Westgate, Nicholas Macedo and his wife Cathy and Michelle St. Pierre and her husband Christopher; great-grandchildren, Bryanna Macedo, Tyler and Matthew Da Costa. She was the sister of the late Albert, Ralph and John Alexander.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 1-3pm followed by a service at 3pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven.
