

Born in New Bedford, Mr. Davis lived in the south coast area all of his life. He was the son of Theresa (Connor) Davis and the late Gerald Davis.
Edward was retired military and served in the United States Army during Desert Storm. He was the recipient of the Army Lapel Button, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Army Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Grenade Bar and Rifle Bar.
Survivors include his children, Stephanie McGrath, Amy Davis and Edward G. Davis Jr. all of Fairhaven; 3 sisters, Colleen Francis and her husband Stephen of Martha’s Vineyard, Luanne Rebello and her husband Dennis of New Bedford, Jane Davis of Lakeville; 2 grandchildren, Lacey Gonsalves and Gunner McGrath both of Fairhaven, a niece, Maureen Costa and a nephew, Christopher Francis, and several great nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7pm in the Waring - Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Boston Childrens Hospital, Boston Adult Congenital Heart Clinic, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 Attn: Bader-2.
