Born in New Bedford, MA on April 25, 1965, Gary lived a life that was filled with fond memories, time spent with his family and lots of laughter. Gary was a kind-hearted, friendly, outgoing person who made friends every place he went. He had an infectious chuckle that, with a little encouragement, could fill the quietest room with laughter.
Gary loved music and would always sing along to oldies hits and classic rock, especially Foreigner and Journey. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He was a lifelong fan of professional wrestling, classic tv shows and war movies and had an incredible knowledge of them all. Gary was also a big fan of card games and although his rivals would like to deny it, he was a good player.
Above all, Gary loved his family. A constant presence at every family gathering, Gary was rarely happier than at big parties, greeting his many relatives with hugs and handshakes. He loved talking on the telephone with his mother and playing cribbage with his father. He was proud of his son and so happy to spend time with his grandson. He loved laughing at cookouts with his siblings and joking around with his nephew. He gave his nieces kisses on the cheek and never forgot to call anyone on their birthday. Gary was a family man.
Gary will be greatly missed by his loving parents, Sumner Irving Seguin and Irene Gloria (Dupont) Seguin, his wife Carmen (Borges) Seguin, his son, Timothy Michael Seguin, his grandson, Harrison Timothy Seguin, his brother Bruce Seguin and his wife Kelley, his sister Sandra (Seguin) Wilder and her husband George, his brother Russell Seguin and his wife Lisa, his nieces and nephews (Justin, Scott, Ashleigh, Jennifer, Jessica, Courtney, Brooke and Jack), great-nieces and nephews and his many family members and friends.
He will be greeted by his grandparents, his nephew Matthew, and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will undoubtedly be rejoicing in his presence.
Gary was a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, an uncle and a friend. He was a teacher of kindness, joy, patience and understanding. He loved, and will always be loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWNN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
