James M. Plummer, age 24 of Fairhaven, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved son of Brian T. and Martha L. (Menard) Plummer.

Born in Haverhill, James was a longtime resident of Fairhaven. He graduated from Fairhaven High School, class of 2014. After graduation he attended Bristol Community College and UMASS Lowell. He was employed by West Island Marina for many years.

Jamie loved his family and friends dearly. He was a natural athlete, who played high school football and reveled in any physical activity. He was an avid snowboarder, skateboarder and sneaker connoisseur. He was happiest spending time in nature, especially hiking local trails and kayaking in Little Bay. Special times were spent with his mom and sister spotting Hummingbirds come to the window feeder. Jamie was modest and kind to everyone around him. Above all, he was a caring, loyal son, brother, and friend who would lend a helping hand to anyone and never ask for anything in return.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Kristen Plummer and her fiancé Nate Greene of Dartmouth, Eric Plummer and his companion Amanda Kramer of New Bedford and Caitlyn Plummer of Fairhaven; his grandmother, Kathleen Plummer of Fairhaven; his uncles, Charles Plummer and his wife Pamela of Groveland and Edward Plummer and his wife Susan Schnabel of Texas; his cousins, Cameron, Luke and Nick Plummer; and his many, many friends. Dear Plummer Family,
My sincere condolences to your family. I taught Jamie art in middle and high school. He and his friends kept me on his toes but I have very fond memories of that group of students. Jamie could be conservative with his smiles but when he did smile, it could light up a room. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and I am keeping your family and all of his old school buddies in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest in Peace, James.
Sincerely,
Brenda Roveda

I will always remember Jamie telling me how much joy it gave him when he saw me driving by the Marina on my daily drives to the Island. When he was out we'd wave and somehow life was brighter.
I still feel the tangible sense of his smiling face and energetic wave.
Besides the joy of calling him my Grandson I had the joy of calling him friend as well, truly a blessing.

During this confined time of gatherings, often we met at the end of my Street facing the Ocean and chatted through open car windows.
He liked to park there at different times and draw in the peace of the Ocean, no matter the weather, as I too did and I am there a lot of late and in Spirit Jamie still meets me there and waves as I drive by the Marina pouring with tears.
I love you forever Jamie and thank you for loving me, at the about to be age of 86 I'll probably meet you in near future in the mystery of New Life where you now are and smile across to us in peace and love. G'Mama Kathleen XXXOOO
