

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Louis and Aurora (Bourassa) St. Jean, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Jeannette was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Academy and later was employed as a timekeeper for Mutterperl manufacturing prior to her retirement.
Jeannette fondly known as Grams, loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, trips to the casino and truly enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books. Jeannette enjoyed playing Rummy with her daughter Lisa and winning…. Right up until her recent decline in health. She thoroughly enjoyed her visits with her great- granddaughters at the Sacred Heart Home. She was also a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary and the New Bedford Council on Aging.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa DeBrito of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson, Kellie-Ann DeBrito, Tricia DeBrito and Devin Costa; her great-grandchildren, Tenley Conner, Braley Camara and Violet Rose Connor. She was the mother of the late David Costa and sister of the late Eugene St. Jean, Helen LaPorte and Henry St. Jean.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 8:00 to 9:00AM with a service at 9:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
