My heart goes out to all of you.
It was a shock to hear about his passing. It’s hard to believe.
-In the memories I have of him, he wasn’t much older than I am now.
It’s funny how the mind does that. It holds people in moments of place and time.
But though it was long ago, I remember that he was a very good man in all the ways a man should and can be.
I know it may be odd to hear that I’ve thought of him many, many times over the years. It’s weird who pops into your mind when life takes you on a ride.
Joe was a man that I believed to be as fixed as the North Pole. He was kind, dedicated, consistent, steadfast (that’s a word you don’t hear much these days, It means unwavering) and he showed mercy and patience (did you know that these are the Fruits of the Spirit of God.
To me he was the gold standard as a husband and father -and someone you can look to for assurance that it can be done well.
I’m grateful to have known him!

I have so many fond memories of Uncle Joe and the whole Paccia clan. Our mothers always made sure we had cousin time. Your dad was always busy with a project to make your lives better or planning adventures to create memories that would last a lifetime. You were one in a million and I was lucky enough to be your niece. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you find comfort in all those memories. Love and hugs. Linda
