Born in New Bedford, a daughter of John G. Hanrahan, Jr. of Acushnet and Rebecca (Desjeunes) Fitzsimmons of Fairhaven, she was a lifelong area resident.
Kerry graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1988 and later attended Diman Regional Voc-Tech. She worked as an LPN for Maxim Healthcare in Plymouth. Kerry enjoyed spending time with family, going to the beach, collecting sea glass, and was an avid reader. She was a loving dog mom to Bruin.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Kaylin Lynch of New Bedford; a son, Liam Lynch of Norfolk, VA; a brother, Malcolm Shurtleff and his wife Kayla of New Bedford; and an aunt, Cynthia Desjeunes of Rochester. She was the sister of the late Sarah J. Hanrahan; granddaughter of the late Joseph and Marion McCulley, Omer Desjeunes, Rita and Manuel Raposa, and John G. Hanrahan Sr.; and cousin of the late Alexander Frates.
