Lydia L. St. Pierre

Born in Fairhaven, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lydia (Inne) Dowd, she was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Louise worked as a custodian at the Hastings Middle School until her retirement in 2001.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed photography, reading, trips to New Hampshire and the company of her grandchildren. She also made sure her backyard birds were well fed every day.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Reid of Acushnet, Robert J. St. Pierre of Concord, NH and Kristen Ryan of Fairhaven; grandchildren, Ryan J. Reid, Kennedy Ryan and Kacey Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Bolles.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on April 30, 2011 at 9am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven followed by burial in River-Side Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
