Mariann Koczera-Tessier, 59, of Fairhaven, passed away Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at home.

She was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Agnes (Goulart) Koczera and a lifetime resident of Fairhaven.

Mariann worked at Acushnet Company for 19 years. In earlier years, she worked as a dental hygienist, her favorite career, in which she received a degree at BCC.

To those that knew her, Mariann always made an entrance and lit up a room. She was a ball of energy and lived her life to the fullest.

Mariann loved a good adventure by land or by sea, whether she was biking, motorcycling, enjoying concerts and shows, sailing, or swimming with dolphins on vacation. She also loved making friends and family smile by sharing comical antics with them through Facebook Messenger and we will miss them greatly. Her most treasured times were spent with her best life- long friends Kathy Connor, Pat Johnson, Carrie Butler (also her cousin), Patti Marshall and her loyal dog Dallas.

She was kind-hearted, leaving little gifts at your door just to make you smile or lending a hand to help a person or animal in need.

Mariann is survived by her loving brother Michael Koczera of TX; her nephews Timothy and Christopher of TX; her loving companion of many years, Peter Souza of Fairhaven, her aunt Aline Koczera of Freetown; her cousins Steven and Donna Koczera of Fairhaven and Jason Koczera of Fall River; and many other cousins on both the Goulart and Koczera sides.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9am-12pm with a Memorial Service at 11:30am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to Fairhaven Animal Shelter, 200 Bridge St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.

God receives another angel. Thank You Maryann for all the wonderful childhood memories: visiting with my dad and brother Steve every weekend, sharing family get togethers and Christmas time, the long walks down to the beach with your brother Mike and my brother Stevie, maybe getting into a little mischief at times, the best corn on the cob grown by your dad, feeding the bunnies raised by your family, playing games on the living room floor and darts down cellar. I can still visualize your bedroom so pretty and neat. Time and distance can never take away the love and memories of one's roots that are cherished forever in the heart. My heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences go out to your brother Micheal, and my brother Steven, Donna, Carrie, and Jason, and all those blessed with your love, kindness, and friendship. May you rest in peace in God's love. Love, prayers and blessing dear cousin, Sue
