Marie E. Langevin

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis and Roseanna (Bourgault) Francoeur, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life.

Mrs. Langevin had worked as a switchboard operator at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home for many years until her retirement.

In earlier years, Marie and her husband enjoyed square dancing. She will be missed by her loving family.

She is survived by her son, Richard Langevin and his companion Judy Trahan; her grandchildren, Matthew Loureiro, Michael Loureiro and his wife Colleen, Christine Watts and her husband Steven and Richard Langevin, Jr. and his wife Jessica; her great-grandchildren, Travis, Devan, Brandon, Breanne, Isaac and Emma; her niece, Terry Martens; and her godson, Paul Bourgault. She was predeceased by her daughter, Phyllis J. Gallego.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 10 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven.
