In Loving Memory of Mary Kathleen Harding
Mary Kathleen Harding, of Fairhaven, MA, was born on March 16, 1949, to James and Mary (Smith) Harding. She passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Mary was the beloved mother of Lisa Marie Bernardo-Arruda and her husband Richard of Fairhaven. She was the cherished grandmother of Kayla Marie, Collin Tony, and Tyler Jorge and his wife Morganne, and the adoring great-grandmother of Carson Richard and Grayson Tyler.
She is also survived by her loving siblings Sheila Bergeron of Fairhaven, Andrew Harding of New Bedford, Ann Marie Ashley of Freetown, and Jean Harding of Florida. She was predeceased by her siblings Connie Thomas, James Harding, and John Harding. Mary was also a beloved aunt and friend to many.
Her happiest times were spent curled up in her chair with a book in her hand and her dog on her lap, or being a playful, silly Nana with her beautiful great-grandsons. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unconditional love, and the joy she brought to those around her.
True to her Irish spirit, Mary loved to tell her “tall tales”—a touch of truth mixed with a lot of embellishment—that always filled the room with laughter. Her stories and her love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on her birthday at the family home. Her siblings and daughter will share details at a later date.
