Mildred “Millie” Church (Palmer) Rigby, 92, of Fairhaven, passed away April 15, 2016 at Alden Court. She was the wife of William J. Rigby with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Horatio and Jennie C. (Gillies) Palmer, she had resided in Mattapoisett before moving to Fairhaven.
Mrs. Rigby was the owner of Mildred’s House of Beauty in Fairhaven.
She enjoyed gardening, loved her hair salon and the friends she made there.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Geoffrey Purvis and his wife Ingrid of Lakeland, Florida and several cousins.
