Millicent M. (Valerio) Lake, 85, of New Bedford passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 in Brandon Woods of New Bedford.

Born in Falmouth, a daughter of the late Manuel S. and Irene (Rapoza) Valerio she grew up in Fairhaven and was a lifelong area resident.

Millie was a caregiver provider for 30 years having worked at Lifestream of New Bedford and Harbor Services.

She is survived by her children, Joseph T. Ryan, Jr. of Dartmouth, Russell โ€œRustyโ€ P. Ryan and his wife Charlene of FL, Robert K. Ryan and his wife Linda of Mashpee, Steven P. Ryan of New Bedford, and Louanne E. Lake and her companion Mark of New Bedford; step children, Debra Blum of Fairhaven and Richard E. Lake, Jr. of New Bedford; brother, Herbert C. Valerio of Fairhaven and FL; sister, Gloria Rose of N. Dartmouth; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lucille Jordan.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will be PRIVATE. To leave a note of condolence: www.waring-sullivan.com
