Born in Detroit, MI a daughter of Walter A. and F. Doris (Burke) she lived most of her life in the area.
Phyllis worked as a secretary most of her life and her last job was as a driver for Tremblay Bus. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, watching game shows and NCIS with Mark Harmon.
Her family would like to thank the amazing staff at Sippican Healthcare for the tremendous care they provided to Phyllis.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Normand of Lisbon Falls, ME, Louis Normand and his wife Jacqueline of North Port, FL, Cynthia Sullivan and her husband Michael of Wareham, and Patricia Normand of New Bedford; siblings, Peggy Correia of Fairhaven, Carolee Ledoux of Fairhaven, and Walter Benjamin of Palm Springs, CA; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mom of the late Joseph Patnode and longtime loving companion of the late Bruce E. Ashworth.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt.
