Richard A. White, 68, of Acushnet passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. Born on December 8, 1957, Richard will be remembered as a beloved, devoted and hard-working father and husband whose steady presence meant so much to those who knew and loved him.
Rick was born in New Bedford, son of the late Billy Ray White and the late Rosella (Silva) Pimentle.
Rick was the husband of Sandra M. (Vasconcelos) White. He was a devoted father to his three children: Brandon White of Acushnet, Justin White of Rochester, and Melissa Chongarlides of Wisconsin, and a proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Nathan Chongarlides, Landon Siferd, Luna White, and Addison Siferd.
Rick is also survived by his sister, Kimberly Boiros and her husband Jason Boiros of Plymouth. He was the brother of the late Vivian White and the late Douglas White. He was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Rick was employed for many years as a forklift operator for Frionor in New Bedford.
In his spare time Rick enjoyed playing Texas Hold‘em poker and watching his favorite Sports teams: Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics and Miami Dolphins.
