Robert “Bob” J Pimental, 87, of Fairhaven passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 in Hope Health Hospice in Providence after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Bernice (Phillips) Pimental with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph and Alice (Rebello) Pimental he was a lifelong resident of the Town of Fairhaven and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Mr. Pimental was a 1956 graduate of Fairhaven High School and later worked for many years at the Massachusetts Lottery Commission. He was an active member of the Livesey Memorial Club. Bob served on the Board of Public Works for several years. His greatest joy came when spending time with his granddaughters and great granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert M. Pimental and his wife Heather; granddaughters, Kenzi Hinchliffe and Josie Pimental; great granddaughter, Tatum; a brother, Dennis Pimental of Acushnet; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael R. Pimental and brother of the late Beverly Crowley.
