He was the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Mikina) Quintin. He is survived by his brother Ronald and his wife Sandra of Fairhaven and his sister Patricia Young of Citrus Springs, Florida along with many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his caring sister-in-law Louise Quintin and his brother-in-law Tony DaPonte.
He was the brother of the late Gayle DaPonte and Ernest “Sam” Quintin.
Bob is survived by his son Bob of New Bedford and his daughter Laura Johnson and her husband Dustin along with three beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Maverick, and Charlotte of Panama City, Florida.
Bob graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and worked at the family business, Quint’s Kitchen, for many years.
He later became the owner / operator of National Bleach and Chlorine Company, where he worked until his illness.
Bob loved his fancy cars and trucks, his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and listening hard rock and blues music. He also enjoyed celebrating the holidays at his family home surrounded by his loved ones.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Louise Quintin and Linda Ryan for their loving care and support of Bob over the years. We are also deeply grateful to the staff and nurses at Hathaway Manor and the Southcoast Health Hospice team for the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care they provided to Bob during the final years of his life.
His visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 9:00AM-11:00AM followed by a service at 11:00AM at WARING-SULLIVAN at Fairlawn Mortuary, 180 Washington Street, Fairhaven, MA. Burial at Riverside Cemetery.
