

Rosalie Ann Ventor, a lifelong resident of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 29, 1938, in New Bedford, she was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel and Fannie Medeiros.
Rosalie was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant, having received her certification in 1984. She devoted her career to caring for others at various facilities, leaving a lasting impact on those she served.
She was married to her late husband, George Ventor, for over 40 years. Together, they raised a family with love and devotion. Rosalie is survived by her sons, Paul Gordon and his wife Rachel, and Peter Gordon and his partner Suzanne O'Malley. She was predeceased by her son, Mark Gordon, in 2001. Her family also includes her step-daughters, Linda Amaral, Brenda Ventor and Debra Debarcelos and her husband Frank; her sister, Anna Hardy; her brothers, Manuel Medeiros and his wife Elaine and Chris Moss; her special niece, Kathy Jenny and her husband Scott; and her lifelong friend, Susan Bettencourt. Rosalie was blessed with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Elaine DeSouza, Donald Medeiros, Muriel Makara, Mary Thumudo, and Junior Medeiros.
Rosalie cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, and she had a deep passion for animals, especially her beloved dog, Jada. She took pleasure in getting dressed up to dine out and spent her winters in Florida at her son's home.
Rosalie Ann Ventor will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 am in Riverside Cemetery, 274 Main St., Fairhaven. All are welcome to attend.
