

Roy Brown, 75, of Fairhaven passed away, Thursday, August 6, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Jacqueline (Coleman) Brown and the former husband of Barbara Brown of Acushnet.
Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Walter H. and Hilda M. (DaCosta) Brown he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Brown served in the United States Navy and later worked in maintenance at Sunbeam Bakery. He was the Commander of the American Legion Post #166 in Fairhaven.
In addition to his former wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Brown of Fairhaven; a son, Duane Brown of Stoughton; stepchildren, Curtis, Lorraine, Amee, Michelle, and Nicole; two brothers, Gary Brown of Mattapoisett and Stephen Brown of Milford, CT; two grandchildren, Jamie and AJ Brown; several step grandchildren; and a niece, Doreen Robinson.
He was the father of the late Roy Brown, Jr. and brother of the late Nancy Parker.
His memorial visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME of MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will be private.
