
Scott B. Piché, 52, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2026, following a motorcycle accident on the way to work. Scott was the beloved husband of Barbie (Barbara Baptista) Piché, with whom he shared 13 years, married 7 of those too short years. They were each other’s best friends, and true love. Scotty and Barbie enjoyed cruising on both land and sea.
Born in New Bedford, Scott was the son of the late Roger Piché. He was a lifelong area resident and worked as a machinist at DePuy Johnson & Johnson in Raynham.
Scott had a deep love for life and the people around him. He was a devoted and cherished best friend of Joseph Ferreira and his wife, Natalie. In his free time, Scott enjoyed playing golf, listening to country music, cooking, and spending time at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den enjoying live music. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and was known for his strong personal convictions and passions. Scott was an avid firearms enthusiast and an avid art collector and took great pride in what he valued most.
Scott was a true patriot who took tremendous pride in his Country, his President and the American Flag. His children were his world, and he was a devoted friend to many.
In addition to his wife, Scott is survived by his children, Mackenzie Piché White and spouse Mathew, Cameron Piché of Assonet, and Brooke Kent of Brockton; his mother, Rosemary Piché; his sisters, Caroline deWolfe and Jessica Piché, and brother Roger; a sister-in-law, Marianne Baptista; the family cat, Jacks; Seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Scott will be deeply missed by his golfing buddies, especially his close friend Dave Paiva, as well as by all who were fortunate enough to know his happy soul and kind heart.
