Born in Oak Bluffs, MA, the daughter of the late Herbert Tilton Sr and the late Rosalina (Pine) Tilton, she was a graduate and Valedictorian of Vineyard Haven High School, before moving to Fairhaven over 60 years ago.
Mrs. Viera was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, cooking, especially apple and strawberry rhubarb pie, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Donald P. Viera Jr of Fairhaven, Jeanne Raphael of New Bedford and Lori Provost of New Bedford: seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Herbert Tilton Jr and the late Jerome Tilton.
