Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Peters) Blum, he was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven. Stefan was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 1977.
Stefan worked for Brownell Boat Yard for several years. He spent many years scallop fishing which he enjoyed immensely.
An avid fisherman, Stefan loved being on the water. He loved music and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Jennifer Blum and her companion Jeff Cook and Seth Blum and his wife Amy; his brothers, Paul Blum and Marc Blum and his wife Dee; his step-mother, Norma Blum; his grandchildren, Hunter, Olivia, Mason and Abigail Blum; and several nieces and nephews.
