Steven P. Wunschel, age 64, of Fairhaven, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Elaine (Basham) Wunschel, to whom he had been married for 37 years.
Born in New Bedford, the son of William Wunschel of Middleboro, MA, and the late Estelle I. (Bussiere) Wunschel, spent his youth in Acushnet before moving to Fairhaven.
Steven was employed as a Technician with Precix for 38 years until his retirement. He enjoyed rock music, muscle cars, his whiskey, and a good party.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Erin Raymond and her husband Michael of New Bedford, and Mari Winters and her husband Dustyn of West Virginia; three grandchildren Samantha, Cynthia and Adam Raymond; a sister Linda Royer and her husband Dale of Taunton; a brother in-law David Dufresne and several nieces and nephews.
Steven was also the brother of the late Lori Dufresne and Christine Jackson.
