Carol Fry left her earthly home January 16, 2021. Carol was born to Frank and Winifred Binns in Akron. She was a graduate of Kenmore High School class of 1959.

Carol met the love of her life John Fry while working at Firestone Tire and Rubber. They were married on December 7, 1962 and remained so for 57 years. Together they raised three wonderful daughters teaching them the importance of family, the value of education, and Christian morals. Carol and John spent their early years on Buhl Blvd in Green, OH and are still friends with many of their neighbors.

Carol cared for her mother and elderly family members for most of her life. She was a member of the Kenmore Reunion committees and volunteered at Pleasant View Nursing home for years where her mother had been a resident before she passed away. Carol enjoyed her lunches with the Birthday Club.

Carol retired from the O’Neils Department store where she made many lifelong friends. She spent her retirement traveling with John internationally.

Carol spent many vacations with family and friends in the Outer Banks which was one of their favorite places. Carol’s other favorite place was their house at Seneca Lake where they made memories for 25 years with their family and many close friends.

Carol never met a stranger and made a friend of everyone she met. Her favorite quote was “Kindness Matters”. She firmly believed that kind word, smile, or action might make a difference in someone's life. In honor of Carol’s life please, please Pay it Forward and remember, “I could have driven myself here in my knee pants!”

Carol is survived by her husband John, daughters Beth Piglia (Mike), Laura Bisesi (Ken Glaston), Jennifer Schepp (Eddie), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her sisters Jan Simmons, Eileen Espy, her brother Gary and his wife Theresa. She loved her many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to Home Care for You and Crossroads Hospice for providing Carol with loving care. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Haven of Rest.

From the very first time I met Carol, she made me feel welcome - like we knew each forever. I can hear her sweet laugh now as if we are sitting at Beth’s table in the midst of a celebration watching her great grandchildren running around.

Heaven has certainly gained an Angel.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Love,
Tammy

It was always a pleasure to work with and talk to Carol over the years. I would keep up with hearing about her through her daughter Jennifer who would come in to Macy’s.
My sincere sympathy and prayers to the family!

So much to say about Mrs. Fry! Best neighbor ever! Loved her so much. You don't always remember what people said or did, it's the way they made you feel. Carol always made me feel good and loved, too. She always liked my curls and would always touch my hair! She and Mr. Fry loved my son also. Nick has very fond memories of both of them. I morn her loss with you all but I know I will see her again in heaven. She will be there for sure. My prayer is for peace for you all now. Lots of love. Donna
