August 29, 1954 – March 29, 2018
Crystal Louise Clason (Tate), age 63, went to be with her Lord Jesus on March 29, 2018.
She lived her entire life in the Akron/Stow area. Crystal received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron and worked as a Registered Nurse for forty years. She was active with her sons in many activities including swimming, soccer, baseball, scouting, and Odyssey of the Mind. Crystal served as a Captain in the US Army Nurse Corp and was active duty during Operation Desert Storm. Her passions included her family, quilting, flowers (always in search of the perfect yellow rose), and college football (go Buckeyes!).
Crystal is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years Jamie Bruce Clason, her wonderful sons Jared, Kyle and Evan, and her caring mother Edna Jean Tate (Smith). She was preceded in death by her beloved father James Tate and loving brother David Tate.

Thoughts and prayers are with the Clason family. Memories of our days at Woodland Elementary and when the boys were in scouts together come to mind. I remember her helping me with crafts that the boys needed to do for scouts in order to get their badges. She was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

Crystal and my life crossed many years ago for a brief moment. There were great memories at the U of A band and after. I remember even taking a half dozen or so of those pictures that a posted. We had a falling out and I am sorry that I never had the chance to mend that fence. I will mourn the loss with you but will never feel your loss. May God be with you and guide you through this time and that you can rejoice also that she is with God now.

I grew up with Crystal and Dave...I rode to school in the new Buick they had bought when I was attending High school and as a young man growing up on Center St I delivered papers to the Tate home fond memories for sure I will cherish them always and mourn the loss of your loved ones.

Crystal was my dear friend for these past 50 years after having met in high school. She was fun, loving, generous and always kind. I will miss her greatly and will always treasure the times and timelessness we shared.

I am so sorry for your loss. Crystal was a wonderful person who I will always remember as Brett’s weekend Mom. I will always think of her for the kindness she showed my family. She will be dearly missed.
