

Douglas P. Davis, age 56, beloved son and brother, passed away on December 2, 2012. He will be missed by his mother Barbara P. Davis (his father Donald B. Davis preceded him in death), his sister Betsy (Pablo) Espinoza and his brother Kurt (Kathy) Davis. He will also be remembered by his nieces Lisa Davis and Emily Espinoza and his nephews Bradley Davis and Gabriel Espinoza.
Doug also leaves behind his “second family” since 1990 at the Hope Home; Russell Dietz, Tom Dillman, Ron Lee, and all the staff and caregivers. Doug was a client of the Summit County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmentally Disabled. He was also a member of the Friend’s Class of the First Congregational Church of Hudson.
Doug’s family would like to thank the many people who have given him care and friendship during his lifetime and final days including the Crossroads Hospice Team.
A memorial service will be held to honor Doug Friday, December 7, 11am at Westminster Presbyterian Church 1250 W. Exchange St. Akron (at the corner of W. Exchange and Mull Ave.).
The family suggests donations be made in Doug’s name to the Douglas P. Davis endowment scholarship fund at the University of Akron.
