LaFrance Douglass passed away February 6 2020 after a short illness.

She was born July 20 1940 to Robert & Bernice (nee: Cathey) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by father Robert (Pop) Johnson, mother Bernice Cathey, and brother George Wallace.

LaFrance is survived by sons LaMonte (Shirley) Douglass and Frederick Douglass; daughters Lesly Douglass and Kenyetta Douglass; grandsons Dominic Douglass and Paris Mayon; granddaughter Ciara Douglass; great-grandchildren Damarius and Rhylie Douglass; sisters Delores Ghant, Magdalene Archie, and Margeree (Herbert) Barringer, Jackie Compton, Cheryl Johnson, Deborah; brothers Mark Johnson, Robert Johnson Jr., and Danny Johnson; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 with the Funeral Service immediately following at 12:00 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home 3653 W. Market Street Akron, Ohio 44333 with the Committal Service at the gravesite in Rose Hill Burial Park. Rev. Gregory Partridge, officiating.

Repast will be at 662 Wolf Ledges Parkway Akron, Ohio starting at 2PM.
