Alice Faye O'Brien

Alice Faye O’Brien, 84, of Belleville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. She was born April 22, 1938 in Osceola, Arkansas to Ambrose and Mary Lula (Pinkingston) Hunter. Alice married Ronald Wayne O’Brien August 3, 1960. She was employed with Boatmen’s Bank for many years in the financial department. Alice had a passion for gardening, crafting and crocheting. She found the most joy in life when she was helping others. She always put others before herself and truly enjoyed taking care of her loved ones. Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Joe (Joyce) Hunter and Albert (Tammy) Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other extended family. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Ronald Wayne O’Brien; son, Dewayne Edward O’Brien; brothers, Jerry Hunter, Lonnie Hunter and one infant brother.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00am in the funeral home with a visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Please feel free to dress casual and come as you are, as that is what Alice would have wanted.
