

Babette Marie Rensing, 71, fortified through the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 7, surrounded by her family at Keystone Place at Richland Creek, O’Fallon, IL.
Babette was born on January 16, 1955, in Highland, IL. She was a 1973 graduate of Triad High School and attended Western Illinois University. She formerly lived in Belleville, IL, and retired after 40 years as a Sales Representative at Bull Moose Tube (7/1979 – 7/2019). She previously worked as a Customer Service Representative at Ralston Purina in St. Louis (2/1974 – 6/1979).
Babette was very talented, played a variety of musical instruments, performed in various musicals, previously sang with the Metro East Community Chorale, and was a life member of the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge 1221. Above all, Babette was a devoted follower of God and faithfully participated in several prayer groups.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Rensing, her parents, Ralph and Audrey Vesci, and in-laws, Fred and Helen Rensing.
Babette is survived by her son, Gabriel Michael Rensing, daughter-in-law, Bernadette Rensing, and grandson, Finn Rensing, all of Hampstead, MD; her sisters Pam (Tom) Galati, Jo (Stan) Graeff, and Lisa (Ron) Frey; sisters-in-law Ann (Joey) Caravia and Lisa (Tom) Hubert; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends Roger and Fran Bruce.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 am to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Lake View Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL.
A private internment will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026.
