Barbara Carline Digby

Barb was born May 21, 1939 in East St. Louis, IL to Bordie A. and Rachel E. (Price) Newcombe. She married Harold Digby in 1972 in Washington Park, IL; he preceded her in death in 2010.

Also preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Bobby Hays; six brothers and two sisters.

Barb is survived by her children, Sandy Ballard, Vicky Tarrence, Terry Ferris, Shirley (Bruce) Huller, Debbie (Pat) Kroeger, Pam (Bill) Scott and Mike (Helena) Digby; grandchildren, Jon (Chandra) Ballard, Daniel (Niki) Ballard, Spencer Tarrence, Rachel Tarrence, Stephanie Huller, Cheyenne (Boomer) Johnson, Lindsey Ferris, B.J. (Carol) Hays, Dakota (Zoe) Hays, Carline Hays, Courtney (Tim) Willmering, John (Stephanie) Scott, Christina Portz, Steven (Shemar) Digby, Scott (Brianna) Digby, Alexander (April) Digby, Katrina (Alex) Mason, Sean (Jennifer) Vickery, Jeff (Michelle) Kroeger and Patrick Kroeger; her beloved twenty seven great-grandchildren with a great-grandson expected soon; four great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Moss and Tom (Rhonda) Newcombe.

Barb’s was a waitress for 30 years at Schnucks in Collinsville, IL. She was a member with Ladies of the Moose in Caseyville, IL. She loved to flower garden, read and do crossword puzzles. She loved her various collections, including her beautiful angels. Barb was always the fun Grandma and Aunt to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Barb’s loss leaves a void but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation for Barbara will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 11:30 A.M.- 1:30 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
