Barbara L. Jenkins

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Belleville, Ill. She worked for 14 years with Memorial Hospital in Belleville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend; who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lucille, nee Glass, Thompson; her sisters, Helen (Ronald) Crow, Doris (Jim) McLaughlin, and Leta Brown.

Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Garry Jenkins, of Belleville, Ill.; her sons, David Jenkins, Gordon (Barbara) Jenkins, and Derek (Rebecca) Jenkins, all of Belleville, Ill.; grandchildren, Jacob, Shellese, Matthew, Brianna, Megan, Paige; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Rylie, and Kayden; a sister, Joyce (Ken) Wood; a brother-in-law, Albert “Jack” Brown; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
