Barbara Lou Lopez

Barbara worked as a hairdresser and owned and operated, Glamourette Hair Salon, in Granite City,for over 15 years. She loved to bake, collect antiques, tend to her flower gardens, and was an avid seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Alice, nee Stiver, Metz; and three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Wayne Metz.

Surviving are her loving husband, Gregory L. Lopez, of Granite City, Illinois, her three daughters, Inez Bixler, of Granite City, Illinois, Delia (Michael) Roth, of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Alicia Berrios, of Granite City, Illinois; her grandchildren, Shannon Bixler and Greg Bixler; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Braden; a sister, Linda (Melvin) Loshe, Springfield, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be at 1p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Nadelin officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
