Barbara Amanda Pearman

Barbara was born December 19, 1944 on Jacksonville, IL to Benjamin Harrison and Ruby Mae (Wingler) Saltsman.

She leaves behind her loving significant other, Barry Crenshaw of Highland, IL; siblings, James “Jim” Saltsman of San Diego, CA and Shirley Marie Reed of Tulsa, OK; and her niece, Wendy Saltsman of Springfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ruby Mae Hancock.

Barbara worked as a police officer with the Springfield, IL police department and then continued her career as a private investigator for ten years. She was also a firearm instructor, helping to train her fellow investigators.

Barry and Barbara spent many years traveling, including a wonderful trip to Ireland. She also enjoyed reading Tarot Cards for friends and family. Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITION: A visitation for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 11:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will follow the visitation, at 12:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to the Metro East Humane Society.
